The key to securing a position as a mid-level professional is standing out from your competition and being able to effectively communicate your unique qualifications to the hiring manager before they even select you for an interview. Refrain from including entry-level skills on your resume that you'll probably find on any mid-level professional's resume. List your mid-level skills over any entry-level ones To do this, you can include a summary paragraph for each position along with a bulleted list of the key accomplishments you had in that role. Quantifying your accomplishments will help the hiring manager see you as a great fit for their organization. You can share that your team exceeded their sales goals and explain what you did to motivate the team to be directly responsible for securing an additional $225,000 for the business. For example, instead of simply stating that you led a sales team responsible for selling new products and services to a target audience, describe what difference your management efforts made for the company. It's common to list responsibilities when you build your resume, but as you do, focus in on your accomplishments as they relate to each one. If you're at the midpoint of your career, chances are you have plenty more experience that you'll want to highlight instead. Be sure to also remove any position that is not relevant to the one you're applying for. Remove irrelevant positionsĮven if your very first position helped to lead you to where you are in your career now, you can probably remove it to condense your resume and make it easier for the hiring manager to read. These credentials are valuable, and as a mid-level job seeker, you'll want any potential employer to know the qualifications that automatically come with the designation. Place them after your name at the top of your resume so the hiring manager sees them right away. If you've earned an MBA, PhD or any other credential like an advanced academic degree, military decoration, recognition or accreditation that allows you to put post-nominal letters after your name, do so. If you're at the mid-level of your career, meaning you have an average of 10 years of relevant professional experience in your employment history, follow these steps to write an effective mid-career resume: 1. Related: The Best Job Skills to Make Your Resume Stand Out How to write a mid-career resume Most mid-career resumes are much more focused on the career path of the individual rather than sharing every single position the job seeker has worked in the past. A mid-level professional would benefit from a succinct and specific resume that highlights the exact achievements and responsibilities that match the position they're applying for. These models were extended to develop a ground-based simulation for the reactions of a sheep in response to a sheepdog using the repel and attract vectors directly and align vector indirectly 16. Mathematical models for herding developed based on three vector relationships of repulsion, alignment, and attraction 15. In order to improve on that piloted approach, our ultimate research goal is autonomous shepherding with AI and to do so while engendering public and farmer trust.Įarly work on herding behaviour proposed that herding is motivated by self-preservation rather than groupthink and overall group protection 14. Mustering cattle with helicopters in the Australian outback, however, has proven cost-effective despite the complexity 13. Public videos 10 show there is considerable piloting skill required in using drones close to animals and the ground, that when coupled with the skills and awareness of shepherding and complex farm terrain, could be costly. 50 m of the closest individual’ with pilots ‘ able to control the movement of the elephants through herding tactics, positioning the drone on either flank of the herd.’ There is the clear potential to use drone technology for shepherding and a need to underpin that use with scientific research. 11 observing for elephants that ‘ As the drone approached, herds would group together quickly and flee rapidly as the drone came within c. Drones have been successfully used to herd wild elephants and birds 11, 12, with Hahn et al. Sheep farmers in countries like New Zealand have resorted to using piloted drones to herd 10 however, research of the effect on animal stress and other behavioural responses has not been conducted. Heart rate is a generally accepted indicator of stress in sheep that is ideally kept in a range around 163 beats per minute average when being vigorously driven or 262 beats per minute instantaneous for acceptable stress in the presence of working dogs where, by comparison, the resting heart rate for sheep is around 80 beats per minute 8.ĭrones offer farmers new dimensions in access and robotics 1, 9. Use of working dogs to herd animals’ risks consumer concerns about the stress on the animals, incidents of biting and pressure to muzzle dogs 7. Farmer deaths from accidents are significant 4, 5, while research on sheep welfare has called for new practical technologies to assist in the detection of multiple welfare issues 6. For sheep and cattle production, large farms result in bigger areas and more animals to survey, increasing the distances farmers and working dogs must travel using motorbikes or quad bikes 3. There are now larger farms managed by fewer farm workers using more machinery 2. In Australia, like in many developed countries, public consumers are pressuring modern farmers to provide better animal welfare and be more efficient-so-called smart farming 1. We outline our ongoing research plans to achieve more autonomous sky shepherding that is compassionate to animal welfare and trusted by farmers and the consuming public. When controlled, these auditory cues can maintain safer distances between the drone and the sheep, offering great potential for the agriculture industry. Our results demonstrate that stimulating sheep auditory awareness during herding from the sky leads to varying sheep responses. Sheep acclimatised quickly and positively to the drone initiating drive of a flock, regardless of drone speed. The model aims to make it feasible for artificial intelligence to improve the autonomy of farmers and pilots in shepherding from the sky. We examined the behavioural and physiological response of twelve Dorper sheep ( Ovies aries) to a drone to adapt mathematical models of shepherding to the new dimension. Herding risks farmer lives, involves stress from farm dogs, and if not performed often and intelligently, risks neglect. Consumer groups are pressuring modern farmers to be more efficient with a focus on better animal welfare. when you use your right hand to make a hand signal you are telling your partner what you plan to do or what they should plan to do against the person on the opposing left side of the court. In doubles beach play when you're facing the net in the front row as a blocker or in the back row as a defensive player usually I'll block the ball based on the set I see.The most basic beach volleyball hand signals you can call to your partner are: Beat The Block, Hit Corners, Mix up Shots.Out of System Drills To Hit Imperfect Sets.Beat The Block With These 2 Hitting Drills.Drills For Serving Overhand, Float and Jump Serve.Partner Passing Drill To Improve Ball Control.Easy Passing Drills We Do In Boot Camp Class. The Sprawl How Players Keep The Ball Off The Floor.Hitting and Digging Drills To Help You Play Better. At Home Drills To Improve Bumping Skills.7 Youth Drills To Improve Ball Control Skills At Home.7 Fun Drills To Do At Home, Camp and Practice.3 Conditioning Drills For High School Practice.Drills For Setters, Hitters, Liberos, Passers, Blockers.Terms For Setter, Hitter, Libero, Middle Blocker.Setter Roles, Rules and Responsibilities.Middle Blocker Offensive and Defensive Duties.Player Positions and Court Zones They Play In.Libero Roles, Responsibilities and Rules. 6 Techniques To Fix Your Pass, Set, Serve, Dig, Block and Hit. Murray can be charming, hilarious, intimidating and emotional as Silver, making the absolute most of a very complex character. How Murray is not consistently getting A-List work after this movie is completely beyond me. As impressive as Levitt's performance is here, Brian Murray as John Silver is even better. The diversity of Levitt's emotional range here is staggering, from beginning to end he is giving nothing less than 500% of his effort. The passion and sincerity that Levitt gets out of the character has to have come from a personal place, as Hawkins inner torment and plight felt as real to me as an animated character's suffering could be. Long before "500 Days Of Summer" made him a star, Joseph Gordon Levitt did a phenomenal job as Jim Hawkins. In many ways, it is Silver's development and arc into a selfless, noble person that sparks Jim's transition into adulthood. If Jim represents the youthful pursuit of one's validation and dreams, Silver represents how that passion can burn bright even into one's veteran years, strengthened by lessons learned along the way. John Silver is very much a kindred spirit to Jim he represents both the best (His compassion, determination, drive and loving nature) and worst (His anger, greed, stubbornness and impulsivity) personality traits of Hawkins, and thus works extremely well as a mentor figure. Underneath his angsty exterior is a very emotionally vulnerable and broken person finally given a spark of hope by fate, and the movie has us consistently rooting for him to succeed. On the surface, his desire to find Flint's trove seems to be motivated by casual greed, but this is little more than a mask for his true motivation to prove to his mother, his paternal figure John Silver and most importantly to himself that he can be somebody. Jim Hawkins is extremely relatable and likable, a born rebel who just wants to make his loved ones proud of him. Fortunately, "Treasure Planet" has the deep, investing characters to back up its gorgeous visuals. Make no mistake about it, whether characters getting torn apart in black holes or melted in volcanic, planetary destructions, "Treasure Planet" can be extremely dark in its tone. On top of that, "Treasure Planet" is a film that's not afraid to put its character's through down-right traumatizing danger. It's almost to the point where I'm genuinely frustrated when the film ends as I was just having so much fun. From beginning to end, there was not a single moment where I was bored, expertly balancing character scenes, action sequences and comedic moments. The imagination behind the world building is "Star Wars" like in its scale. The world of "Treasure Planet" is one I was disappointed to leave by the end of its 95 minute run-time. Director Ron Clements and his production team have created a gorgeous, expansive and diverse universe the planets, the aliens, the technology, the architecture, the weaponry. The visuals shown in the movie are unforgettable. It's the most underrated without question. Not only is "Treasure Planet" a childhood favorite, but is hands down one of the best, most emotional, most exciting and most investing Disney movies of all time. So taking that into consideration, along with the fact that Disney would follow up "Treasure Planet" with the dismal "The Jungle Book 2" and the atrocious "Home On The Range", that MUST mean the movie was awful right? WRONG. So obviously under-marketing was not the movie's problem.Which baffles me as the film was a massive financial flop earning only $109.6 million on a $140 million budget. TV Spots for it were played almost religiously, "Treasure Planet" action figures and games were constantly being advertised between commercials on pretty much every kids entertainment channel and various fast food restaurants and cereal brands included "Treasure Planet" toys with their products. Until the release of "Frozen", "Treasure Planet" may have been the most over marketed Disney film of all time upon release. Ultimately, you are connecting to another person.
